I am a fourth grade math teacher and upper elementary math digital creator living and teaching just outside of Atlanta, GA.
I’ve been sharing teacher tips and resources online since 2018 when I started my teachergram page.
Since then, I have shared my expertise at multiple national teacher conferences and my resources have impacted thousands of students across the nation.
We create resources that empower teachers to make math instruction meaningful without sacrificing have a good time while teaching and learning.
I am committed to supporting the whole math teacher and help you regain control of your work life balance while still being a kick-ass math instructor.
Teaching is always something that I’ve wanted to do! I was the child that grew up wanting to be a teacher whenever I was asked!
I started my teaching career in 2015 teaching in the second grade. After two years, I had the amazing opportunity to loop with my students to 3rd grade. After teaching 3rd grade for two year, I made another jump to 5th grade, teaching math. I was also blessed to be named my school’s Teacher of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year.
Then came 2020. I was hired at new school just before the pandemic hit, and if anyone hasn’t told you, I would NOT recommend switching schools in the middle of a pandemic.
I had my worst years of teaching and fell out of love with teaching. I doubted myself, felt like I lost for fire and support system, and was generally down. I was ready to walk away to pursue something different. That was one of the hardest experiences of my life because teaching was once the thing that brought me the absolute greatest joy.
I couldn’t find the joy in teaching, I was the epitome of burnt out, and it for sure was not fun! I started to explore my other options and find something new to bring me joy.
I know that for the rest of my life, I plan to be related to education in some way. I love working with children and helping them have fun while learning. I began to lean more into social media and creating math resources for other teachers. Creating resources began to bring me some of the same joy that I had my early years of teaching.
What I hadn’t expected was the amazing feeling I had seeing how my resources and ideas impacted so many other teachers. This helped to refuel my passion and my purpose in education. Even more, it helped me to realize that there is more much to being a teacher than what take place in the classroom and I had to prioritize finding balance.
I aim to help other teachers by creating math and other classroom resources that help teachers save our precious time both inside and outside of the classroom without sacrificing quality math instruction. At so many points, finding that balance seems impossible and I’m here to tell you that I am still working to figure it all out myself.
I hope my journey inspires you to find the joy in what you do and help you persevere! I am proud to be a math teacher and your math teacher bestie!
For sure french fries and popcorn! I can never get enough!
I would love a Target sweepstakes where I could just have access to all things at Target for the rest of my life. I would truly be set.
Easy! Heights, death, & spiders!
I loveee to travel! I would love to go to Australia or any southeast countries!
OMGGG. I could write a novel with all of my embarrassing tales. There’s literally so many! One that stands out with walking into a wall in the cafeteria in 8th grade and chipping my front tooth. We legit need a story time!
I am always dancing and singing through my daily life narrative. I can neither dance or sing so it’s never a pretty sight. My husband especially loves it! *sarcasm*
